ARCHIPELAGO LOGISTICS SDN BHD, formerly known as Archipelago Development Corporation Sdn Bhd, was incorporated in Brunei Darussalam in Year 1982, mainly to act as a Shipping Agent. Over the years, as the Company widens its services, Archipelago Express Sdn Bhd was established in Year 1995, to perform a more comprehensive logistical service. Today, ARCHIPELAGO provides full logistical services which includes acting as a Shipping Agent and Husbanding Agent, Cargo Handling, Worldwide Freight Forwarding, Transportation, Courier Service, Warehousing and Distribution.

In December 2019, the Company decided to change its name to Archipelago Logistics Sdn Bhd to better reflect its core business and underwent restructure to provide a better business platform. As part of the restructure, a subsidiary Archipelago Shipping Sdn Bhd was established.

ARCHIPELAGO has grown from a small business with only 3 staff to the current strength of over 170 staff. From a Shipping Agent servicing just 2 voyages per month, we have grown in strength to servicing an average of ten (10) voyages per month with an impressive turnover of B$14 million in 2007. Subsequent to our rapid growth, we have increased our paid-up capital from B$50,000.00 to B$1,000.000.00 in August 1998.

Our swift expansion has not made us lose sight of our proven policy of maintaining a high level of efficiency, reliability, confidentiality and a personalized and realistic approach to handling business transactions and opportunities. In 1998, we implemented a Quality Management System to further enhance our competency. In line with the Quality Management System, a Business Management Policy has been successfully implemented with outstanding performance standards maintained.
